Intimate Wedding at Lanikai
|
This was a very intimate wedding at Lanikai, the East Side of Oahu. It was so intimate that it was just the two of them. I even signed as a witness. Not often do you have clients were they are REALLY into photography, being photographer's themselves, they knew the value of having their pictures taken. And because of that, right after the ceremony, we hopped from location to the other. We ended up at one my favorite spot, China Walls at Portlock. There was no trace of rain to be seen anywhere. The weather was perfect. Which made it a picture perfect day for the two. Bouquet and ceremony setup was styled, designed and created by Fong of Floral Inspirations. Angela+Ronie: Through the Eyes of My Wife

| It was by chance that we were chosen to photograph this wedding. Originally, Angela and Ronie was supposed to have already tied the knot on March 11, but so happened Angela who was 8 months pregnant gave birth prematurely. The wedding was post-poned. Instead of a wedding celebration....it was a celebration of new life. Pushing the wedding one and half months out gave very little time for Angela and Ronie to coordinate. Their original photographer was already booked on the new date. They were now in the quest of searching for a new photographer. So happen Kim and I were at our usual hang-out "Starbucks" and overheard a conversation about wedding photography. So happen, the new photographer that they met up with was also booked on that day (he didn't realize it until he met with them - how sad). Kim turned her shoulder to take a peek at the bride....low and behold, Kim noticed that both the bride and groom was old family friends from long ago (hanabutta days). Kim said hello and couldn't resist not telling her that I was a photographer too. We all chatted for awhile catching up with each other and I showed them a few images from my laptop. We were already 10 days out, and we were available...the rest is history. Here are a few images from their beautiful and amazing wedding day which was captured through the eyes of my wife. | My cousin Joey is finally getting married. As a gift, my wife and I decided that we do an engagement photo session for them. This would be my wife's first attempt to do an engagement photo session. What more can I say about this couple. I was blessed to be part of this wedding. A very fun and loving family is what they are...a prime example of what a family should be. Their wedding was at the Hale Koa (one my favorite venues) at the Maile Garden. Florist, Fong Tagawa of Floral Inspirations did a an amazing job with the Gazebo brightening it up with colors of pink, lavendar and red. The area that they stood was shaped into a heart made of flower petals. To top it off, Fong stuck daiseys into the ground as if they were grown there creating the pathway of the aisle.
