2006 was a great year. It's hard to believe it's already 2007 and that 2006 flew by so quick. As I look back, I have photographed many beautiful weddings (and engagements) and I felt honored to be part of the most important day of their lives. Beautiful couple from Canada flew to Maui for their wedding. I wasn't hired to shoot their wedding but was hired to photograph their engagement (a wedding gift from their friend). I had one challenge set for myself; trying not to make the images looking to tropical. Thanks to Hannah and Vincent for the wonderful time in Maui. Boy did I eat way too much Krispy Kremes!

Baby Baby Baby!

Okay, we did our first ultra sound back in December 19, 2006. Technology is just amazing. The doctor said they could actually do an ultra sound at 2 months. When first seeing it on screen, tears of joy rolled down my face. And what hit me the most is when the doctor pointed out a pulsating dot. She said, you see this dot?, that's the baby's heartbeat. I couldn't believe it. Just an amazing feeling I will never forget. Now the hard part is waiting seven months for the baby to arrive. I'm so excited!

I remember when I first met up with Keiko, planning was quite difficult being that John was in Iraq. Time has flown by so fast and before she knew it, John was already home. And he was ready to marry the woman of his dreams. Keiko & John's wedding was held at Kaneohe, Haiku Gardens. It is known for it's luscious greens and a boardwalk/gazebo overlooking a pond filled with fresh water fish. It was a perfect day for the
beautiful couple. No rain, just shine (Kaneohe is known to rain frequently). Friends and family flew in from Asia and the mainland to witness this memorable event. Thanks to Keiko and John for letting Kim, Trevis and I be part of your wedding day. We all had a wonderful time celebrating with your friends and family!

Photo Hunt: Hawaiian Airlines Ad

Early of last year I have entered a photo contest. Unfortunately I was notified that I didn't win. Five months later I got a phone call regarding this particular image. Hawaiian Airlines wanted to use it as part of their ad. I thought..oh wow, "cool" - thinking it would be used in a magazine ad. Months passed by and I totally forgot about it. But recenlty I got a phone call from Janeen (she and her husband's photo) and she stated that the photo was actually on a Billboard! Holy smokes! Way cool. Never seen any of my images blown up that big before! I've been told that this ad is everywhere so if you see it, grab your camera take a snap shot of it and send it over. I would love to post it on my blog. Here's the original image.
